This iteration of TEV focuses on data integrity and performance over TEV2's heavily abstract and flexible schemas. These changes were made for the long-term storage and support of SPOC, QLP, and other pipeline deliveries, as well as the TCE catalog, which holds all planetary signals detected by all pipelines. To efficiently search and potentially represent hundreds of millions of signals per TESS sector, TEV has dropped the representation of item data via JSON and expanded the interior data into SQL columns.
